How to Assemble the Mercedes Benz 24v G Wagon 2-Seater Ride-On

How to Assemble the Mercedes Benz 24v G Wagon 2-Seater Ride-On

Tools You’ll Need (Usually Included or from Home):

  • Phillips-head screwdriver

  • Adjustable wrench or socket wrench (10mm or 12mm)

  • Wire cutters or scissors (for zip ties)

  • Allen key (if provided)

  • Small flat-head screwdriver (optional, for stickers or plug prying)

Before You Start

  • Choose a flat, clean surface like your garage or living room floor.

  • Lay out all parts and compare them to the manual’s parts list.

  • Ensure the battery is disconnected during assembly to prevent short circuits.

Step-by-Step Assembly Instructions for the 24v G Wagon Ride-On

Step 1: Attach the Rear Axle and Motors

  1. Flip the car body upside down or on its side (on a towel to avoid scratches).

  2. Slide the metal rear axle rod through the rear underbody channel.

  3. Mount the motors (gearboxes) onto each end of the axle.

  4. Secure with locking washers and nuts (use a wrench or socket).

  5. Plug the motor connectors into the corresponding color-coded wires.

👉 Pro Tip: Ensure the motors are securely clamped to avoid wheel wobble later.

Step 2: Install Rear Wheels

  1. Slide one bushing/spacer onto each end of the axle.

  2. Insert the rear wheels onto the axle—tread facing outward.

  3. Use a cotter pin or locking nut (depending on model) to hold the wheel.

  4. Snap on the plastic hubcaps to cover the fasteners.

Step 3: Attach the Front Wheels

  1. Slide the steering knuckles and spacers into the front axles.

  2. Attach the front wheels, securing them with washers and lock nuts.

  3. Push the hubcaps into place.

Step 4: Install the Steering Wheel

  1. Locate the steering column shaft inside the dashboard.

  2. Align the steering wheel shaft with the rod, insert, and push down.

  3. Tighten the screw and washer through the center of the wheel.

  4. Connect the steering wheel wires (horn/music) to matching dashboard plugs.

Step 5: Mount the Seat

  1. Place the leather seat into the designated slot in the cabin.

  2. Route the seatbelt straps through the seat openings (if not preinstalled).

  3. Use screws or latches (based on model) to secure the seat to the frame.

  4. Test the seat belt latches for function and adjust strap length if needed.

Step 6: Install Dashboard & Electronics

  1. Snap or screw in the dashboard piece (above foot pedals).

  2. Connect all wiring harnesses:

    • Steering

    • Lights

    • Power switch

    • Audio/Bluetooth module

  3. Double-check all connections are tight and color-matched.

👉 Tip: Some models have zip ties to organize cables. Keep things tidy to avoid pinching wires.

Step 7: Insert Mirrors, Windshield & Doors

  1. Attach the side mirrors (clip or screw-in style).

  2. Snap the windshield into pre-cut slots on the hood.

  3. Install the doors by aligning the hinges and snapping them in place.

Step 8: Install the Battery

  1. Lift the seat or hood compartment to access the battery tray.

  2. Place the battery pack securely in its slot.

  3. Connect the red (positive) and black (negative) terminals.

  4. Tie any loose wires with zip ties for safety.

⚠️ Do NOT connect to the charger until final testing.

Step 9: Final Safety Checks & Test Drive

  • Press the power button and check:

    • Headlights and taillights

    • Horn and music

    • Accelerator pedal response

    • Remote control functionality

  • Charge the battery fully (8–10 hrs) before the first real ride.

  • Check all nuts, bolts, and screws for tightness.

 You’re Ready to Roll!

Estimated Assembly Time: 45–60 minutes
Recommended: Have another adult help to speed things up and manage large parts.

Additional Tips:

  • Label wires during disassembly if you’re troubleshooting or storing the car.

  • Download a PDF manual

  • Consider a weatherproof car cover if storing outside or in a shed.
